A quantity of antiquarian and later books from the library of Exbury House (property of the de Rothschild's) and from other various properties

To include: a quantity of antiquarian and later books from the library of Exbury House in Hampshire. Exbury House was acquired by Lionel de Rothschild (1882-1942) in 1919 and remains in the family to this day.  Many of the volumes on offer were inherited from Alfred de Rothschild (1842-1918) of Halton Estate who along with his cousin Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild (1839-1898) of Waddesdon Manor, were condsidered as two of the greatest art collectors of their day.

The library is composed of many books mainly in English, but also some in French and German and cover a variety of subjects including art, and there are some wonderful porfolios, literature, poetry, natural history, travel and exploration, history and military history, sport, economics, politics and religion.
